Q. HOW DO I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE NUTTER’S BULK & NATURAL FOODS
FRANCHISE OPPORTUNITY?


A.Simply fill out and submit the Confidential Preliminary Qualification Report. Upon a review of the information you provide, a staff member from the Franchise Licensing Department will contact you. If you qualify, we will arrange for an in-person meeting that will be convenient for you.

Q.HOW MUCH IS THE TOTAL INVESTMENT REQUIRED TO SECURE A NUTTER’S
BULK & NATURAL FOODS FRANCHISE?


A.Nutter’s offers a range of opportunities for various size markets. The following is offered as a guideline only and may not represent final set-up costs:

It is recommended that Franchisees have a minimum of half of the total investment for cash equity, leaving half of the total investment to be financed.

Q.DOES NUTTER’S OFFER DIRECT FINANCING?

A.
Franchisees are responsible for their own financing. Our Accounting Department and our Licensing Department will be pleased to offer advice and support material for whatever financial institution you choose.

Q.DO I PURCHASE INVENTORY FROM NUTTER’S BULK & NATURAL FOODS?

A.
The Nutter’s system provides various combinations of supplying product, depending on each individual situation. There are certain brand name and product requirements that may be purchased from manufacturers, distributors, or from Nutter’s. However, there are specific items that can only be purchased from Nutter’s. It is our intention, wherever possible, to use the combined purchasing power of our chain to effect purchasing economies that will benefit each store and the entire system.

Q.WHAT IS THE TERM OF THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT?

A.
Nutter’s Franchise Agreements are for ten (10) years, which are renewed at the end of the first term for an additional ten (10) years. Renewal is subject to the current franchise terms.

Q.WHAT ARE THE CONTINUING ROYALTY FEES?

A.
Royalties are tiered up to 5% of gross sales over the initial ten year term of the franchise agreement.

Q.AM I GIVEN A PROTECTED TERRITORY?

A.
Yes. You will be awarded an approved location and a protected territory under the terms of the Franchise Agreement. Some restrictions may apply.

Q.IS TRAINING PROVIDED BY NUTTER’S?

A.
Yes. Franchisees must attend and complete the Nutter’s Training Program. Training includes a minimum 4 week orientation and training program. In addition, Franchisees receive on-site support and training during store set-up and opening. The cost of initial orientation and training is included in the franchise fee. The Franchisee pays the cost of their own travel, lodging, and meals while attending training in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Q.WHAT CONTINUING ASSISTANCE DO I RECEIVE?

A.
Nutter’s will provide Management Operating Manuals, Staff Manuals, and a Toll Free Help Line and web support. Field support is provided by a team of franchise representatives, experienced in all aspects of day-to-day operations.

Q.IS ADVERTISING PROVIDED?

A.
Nutter’s maintains a full time Advertising Department that has a wide array of promotions for the entire year.

QHOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO EARN?

A.
Your potential profit will depend on a number of factors, such as location, involvement and commitment to the business, competitive issues, and other local market conditions. We do, however, help minimize your risk by giving you the benefit of a well organized system and concept, refined by our many years of experience. There is no guarantee to success and profitability.

Q.WILL YOU SEND ME A COPY OF YOUR FRANCHISE AGREEMENT?

A.
Our Franchise Agreement is a valued document, which we do not indiscriminately distribute. However, once you have a personal meeting with a member of our franchising staff, we will be happy to provide you with a copy of the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular, containing a copy of the Franchise Agreement.
