Great Whole Grains
Grains are a rich source of protein, however the protein in grains is different in it’s amino acid content than the protein found in animal products. Whole grains are packed with vitamins and minerals and do not contain any saturated fat or cholesterol. The bran is loaded with two types of fibre; soluble and insoluble. Insoluble fibre is important for digestive health. Soluble fibre helps lower cholesterol levels in the blood. Try to use whole-grain products as much as possible, and don't overdo the portion sizes (that's where the weight gain may come in).
