The following symptom-based Self-Assessment Quiz can quickly tell you which vitamins you may have insufficient quantities of in your body. Deficiencies come about for many different reasons. For example, certain prescription medications or specific health conditions can cause a lack of vitamins. A diet low in variety and nutrients can cause a lack of vitamins. This is why, instead of embarking on a supplementation program right away, you should check with your health care professional for the reasons behind the symptoms you are experiencing. If you are a generally healthy individual with no diagnosed specific health concerns, supplementing your vitamin intake might be the right plan for you.

Make a note of each symptom that applies to you. If you record more than 4 or 5 symptoms under each heading, supplementing with a multivitamin may be a good idea.
