5 (EASY) Savoury Popcorn Recipes For Movie Night

Ingredients

Popcorn Recipe #1: Rosemary Thyme Black Pepper Popcorn

  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary, coarsely chopped
  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme, coarsely chopped
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil to coat popcorn
  • 8-10 cups popped popcorn

Popcorn Recipe #2: Spicy Sriracha Popcorn

  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha sauce (you can add more or less depending on how spicy you like it)
  • sea salt
  • 8-10 cups popped popcorn

Popcorn Recipe #3: Spicy Chili Lime Popcorn

  • 1-2 tbsp chili lime seasoning (I love the one from Trader Joe’s)
  • 1 tsp red chili pepper flakes (you can add more for extra spice)
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 8-10 cups popped popcorn

Popcorn Recipe #4: Coconut Turmeric Saffron Popcorn

  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1-2 pinches of saffron (I crumbled up the strands slightly for easier distribution)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted (you can also use coconut oil cooking spray)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 8-10 cups popped popcorn

Popcorn Recipe #5: Everything Bagel Garlic Popcorn

  • 1 tbsp Trader Joe’s Everything Bagel seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 8-10 cups popped popcorn

Directions

Popcorn Recipe #1: Rosemary Thyme Black Pepper Popcorn

In a large bowl add just popped popcorn (while it’s still warm) and olive oil. Mix until well-coated. Gently fold in salt, pepper, and herbs. Add a touch more olive oil if the herbs aren’t sticking well.

*If using bagged popcorn that is not warm, follow the instructions above, then place seasoned popcorn on baking sheet and bake for 4-5 minutes at 250ºF.

Popcorn Recipe #2: Spicy Sriracha Popcorn

In a large bowl add just popped popcorn (while it’s still warm) and sea salt – no additional oils needed. Adding a few drops of sauce at a time, gently mix popcorn in the Sriracha until it is lightly coated. If you add too much at the same time, your popcorn will get soggy.

*If using bagged popcorn that is not warm, follow the instructions above, then place seasoned popcorn on baking sheet and bake for 5-6 minutes at 250ºF.

Popcorn Recipe #3: Spicy Chili Lime Popcorn

In a large bowl add just popped popcorn (while it’s still warm) and olive oil. Mix until well-coated. Sprinkle in seasonings and gently stir until spread throughout.

*If using bagged popcorn that is not warm, follow the instructions above, then place seasoned popcorn on baking sheet and bake for 4-5 minutes at 250ºF.

Popcorn Recipe #4: Coconut Turmeric Saffron Popcorn

In a large bowl add just popped popcorn (while it’s still warm), coconut oil and sea salt. Sprinkle in turmeric and saffron and gently stir until blended.

*If using bagged popcorn that is not warm, follow the instructions above, then place seasoned popcorn on baking sheet and bake for 4-5 minutes at 250ºF.

Popcorn Recipe #5: Everything Bagel Garlic Popcorn

In a large bowl add just popped popcorn (while it’s still warm), olive oil and sea salt. Sprinkle in Everything bagel seasoning.
