While we are only a few days into May as I write this piece for our monthly newsletter, it is already clear to see that Nutters customers are enthusiastically supporting our Round Up For Mental Health Campaign, with nearly 5,200 customers donating in the first 8 days of May.

By simply rounding up their Nutters purchase to the nearest dollar, over $10,633.64 has been raised to date.

Some customers have asked to make larger donations that qualify for a tax receipt. We have made that possible and convenient with the help of Canadian Mental Health Association offices across Western Canada.

They have provided each Nutters store with a local QR Code that enables the customer to direct their donation to their nearest CMHA office, ensuring a tax receipt in return. The minimum donation required to obtain a tax receipt is $20.00. Any larger donation totals are not included in the above total at this time. We will include that information in our final update at the end of May.

Nutters President Brad Winsor commented; “This first-ever company-wide initiative came about following Covid when our team members came together and recognized the common theme among all stores during that time was mental health.  So many customers were looking for help with depression, anxiety, and stress.”

Brad also noted; “Our team members committed to creating this campaign specifically with a mandate to deliver every dollar directly to local Canadian Mental Health Association offices in our Nutters communities. I am very proud of what they have been able to accomplish”.

We invite Nutters customers across Western Canada to join the cause, by saying YES to rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar, or more, through to the end of May, Mental Health Month.
